Small tidbit about the Histre O' Da' Pulls
Started in 1995 by Steve and some other guys who recorded a demo and promptly quit after two shows. Steve pressed on with the songs and found two other guys who quickly followed suit, complete with the demo and the quitting. Enter Hash, a neighbor, who found an add and filled the bass player spot and learned a song a day for two weeks before playing his first show as a "Pull". Steve still says to this day "he's the best thing that's ever happened to this band". Steve and Jeff then caught up with Brendan Concannon, a local punk rock kid and drummer who was, at the time, playing for Ruder Than You. The three played a bunch of shows together throughout Delaware county (coverband headquarters) and started to make some headway amongst the less than energetic locals. In December '98 they recorded yet another six song demo, this time on disc, and started to realize how far the songs and sound had come since '95. Brendan shortly after made his way to Cali. and has not been seen since. After an eight month period the drummer spot was left vacant until Steve received a response to an ad they had posted in Aug '99. It was H.W. (homewrecker) Bob, a drummer from V.A. Beach who had come back to the Philly area. Bob hopped on the sound, liked the songs and gave the band more a punk feel than they ever had previously. The Pulls now play the Philadelphia area consistantly and are finally the band they always wanted to be!
